ROCK CITY MORGUE: Recording Session 'Off To A Great Start'

ROCK CITY MORGUE, the New Orleans, Louisiana-based band featuring former WHITE ZOMBIE bassist Sean Yseult and ex-MAN SCOUTS OF AMERICA frontman Rik Slave, have posted the following message at their official web site:

"October was appropriately a very eventful month for ROCK CITY MORGUE. The band spent the entire month of October in the studio, making their new album for Nocturnal Records. Still in progress, the record is divided into two sessions — one recorded at Balance Studios, in Mandeville, La. produced by Daniel Rey, and the second part recorded in New Orleans with J. Yuenger [WHITE ZOMBIE] producing. The first session is finished and the second session is off to a great start. There are thirteen tracks total, six of which Sean switches to the piano for a very unique sound. An advance recording of one of these piano songs, entitled 'Don't Leave Me Haunted', has already leaked out to some radio, including Indy 103 in Los Angeles, to great response.

"Also in October news, the band performed live at Voodoofest, alongside bands such as GREEN DAY, THE PIXIES and VELVET REVOLVER — see new live shots and behind the scenes photos in our photo gallery section! More appearances of the MORGUE can be seen on Fuse TV, who have a special out now showing repeatedly titled 'Amplified Guide to New Orleans'. The show covers everything from the nightlife to rap bands and rock bands, which is represented by ROCK CITY MORGUE interviews and live footage, along with local rock bands SUPAGROUP and the HAZARD COUNTY GIRLS.

"Upcoming dates include a November 12th date in New Orleans at One Eyed Jacks, and a four-week European tour set for Jan/Feb 2005. Finally, the band has purchased the ultimate touring vehicle — a black and chrome '81 Cadillac Hearse — so they might start playing more shows than just New Orleans, New York, and Europe — look out!"
